Hands-on Learning of Production Planning Tools Adam Milsap, of Red Barn, will share planning tools and tips. Local produce buyers will discuss market opportunities. Everyone leaves with their own electronic spreadsheet planner.

Beginning Farmer Classes 

 January – November 2020

Learn the foundations of specialty crop farming! Network with other new farmers and discover the resources available to help you succeed. There are eleven classes offered throughout the year from January through November. Each class is 2.5 hours in the evenings or Sunday afternoons, depending on the class. You can select the individual classes you would like to attend. Curriculum covers all aspects of successful farm entrepreneurship such as getting started, soil management, crop production, food handling, marketing and bookkeeping. Courses cost $10 each and take place at the UA Food Science building in Fayetteville, AR.
